As the country reaches a big birthday milestone, members of the 91Ö±²¥ community shared what makes Philadelphia, and the nation, what it is today.

As the field placement coordinator for 91Ö±²¥â€™s Marriage and Family Therapy Program, Jeanae Hopgood, LMFT, M.Ed., CST, PMH-C, CAGCS, supports students as they take the next step in their academic journey.

91Ö±²¥ Education Professor Mary Williams, Ed.D., brought her teaching outside of the classroom when she celebrated and shared her great grandfather’s work during the Norwegian Constitution Day Parade in Brooklyn, N.Y.

After a successful career as a speech-language pathologist, Assistant Professor Katie Warner, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, hopes to share her love of education and learning with students in 91Ö±²¥â€™s Communication Sciences and Disorders Program.

91Ö±²¥ Professor of Finance, Elizabeth Cooper, Ph.D., always puts her students' education first, no matter if her classroom is in Founders’ Hall or the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia. 

Personal experiences have often guided 91Ö±²¥ Assistant Professor of Social Work, Keisha Hook, MCJ, MSW, LCSW, through her career, and most recently, to a new specialty.

Faculty members in 91Ö±²¥'s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders found success in a cast study with adolescents who received the new treatment.

As part of its annual Mission and Heritage Week celebration, 91Ö±²¥ proudly recognized two outstanding members of its community with 2025 Distinguished Lasallian Educator Awards on April 9, 2025.

Associate Professor Siobhan Conaty, Ph.D., was honored with induction into The College of Physicians of Philadelphia on Nov. 15, 2024. She was among the 27 inductees that included prominent physicians, experts from public health and academia, and civic leaders.

Candace Robertson-James, DrPH, MPH and Joanne Woods, M.A. ’14, earned recognition for their commitment to La 91Ö±²¥.
