91Ö±²¥ announced that Jarett Gerald will be named the Explorers’ next Vice President of Athletics & Recreation and Director of Athletics, officially starting on Monday, Aug. 3.  

The athletics head will take on similar role at St. Joseph’s University.

91Ö±²¥ is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Jarvinen, Ph.D., as the incoming interim provost and vice president of academic affairs, with her tenure to begin on June 1, 2026. 

President Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D., will work alongside leaders from across Greater Philadelphia to solve complex challenges, expand economic opportunity, and strengthen community support systems. 

The newest members bring a combined 80 years of finance, business, marketing, and consulting experience to their roles.

Cameron B. Wesson, Ph.D., provost and vice president of academic affairs, has accepted the role of president at West Virginia’s Shepherd University effective July 1, 2026.

91Ö±²¥ announced the appointment of R. Scott Mattingly, Ed.D., as its new assistant vice president of student success, effective Sept. 22, 2025.

Pauline Scalvino, ‘87, joined La 91Ö±²¥'s Board in 2023 and had served as its vice chair in 2024-25.
