Alisa Macksey joined the campus community in 2022. Now, as Vice President of Campus Life, she hopes to continue to make a positive impact on the Explorer experience.

Pauline Scalvino, '87, chair of the 91Ö±²¥ Board of Trustees, will be part of an advisory group committed to advancing higher education by ensuring institutional governing boards are prepared for success.  

Freddie Pettit joined the campus community in November 2023. During his tenure, Pettit has helped to rejuvenate the institution’s fundraising and alumni relations efforts.

The South Carolina native will officially begin his new role with the Explorers on Monday, Aug. 3.  

The two new members bring over six decades of experience from the finance, business, manufacturing, and automation industries to their roles.

91Ö±²¥ announced that Jarett Gerald will be named the Explorers’ next Vice President of Athletics & Recreation and Director of Athletics, officially starting on Monday, Aug. 3.  

The athletics head will take on similar role at St. Joseph’s University.

91Ö±²¥ is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Jarvinen, Ph.D., as the incoming interim provost and vice president of academic affairs, with her tenure to begin on June 1, 2026. 

President Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D., will work alongside leaders from across Greater Philadelphia to solve complex challenges, expand economic opportunity, and strengthen community support systems. 

The newest members bring a combined 80 years of finance, business, marketing, and consulting experience to their roles.
