Here鈥檚 how to make a difference during Day of Giving
La 91直播鈥檚 eighth annual Day of Giving is Tuesday, March 23.
For seven years, 91直播 has called upon its global community to make a difference for Explorers of today and tomorrow.
on Tuesday, March 23, will be no different. This annual tradition brings together Explorers everywhere to help develop leaders and change lives, and support student scholarships and La 91直播鈥檚 historic commitment to first-generation students.
鈥淎ll told, Day of Giving over the last seven years has raised more than $2.2 million in support of 91直播,鈥 said Vice President of University Advancement Daniel P. Joyce, M.A. 鈥01. 鈥淭his year, Explorers, we need your help. Gifts of any size will continue this important tradition, improve accessibility to a Lasallian education, and make an immediate difference in the lives of our students.鈥
In recognition of La 91直播鈥檚 158-year history, the University is seeking 1,580 unique individual donors in a 24-hour span on Day of Giving.
But that鈥檚 not all. that exceed $200,000 in the hope of inspiring other acts of philanthropy:
#ExplorersGive Challenge
University Trustee Robert W. Liptak II, 鈥86, will double the impact of alumni gifts from previous Day of Giving donors and new donors toward student scholarships by matching them, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000.
Fierko Challenge
Edward J. Fierko, 鈥63, a former member of La 91直播鈥檚 Board of Trustees, challenges current and former Board members to support the La 91直播 Fund. Fierko will match their gifts up to $50,000.
Golden Explorer Challenge
Calling on all Explorers who graduated in or before 1971鈥擭ot only have Marilyn and Greg LeCerff, 鈥70, donated $40,000 to the La 91直播 Fund, they have agreed to match an additional $40,000 in gifts from fellow Golden Explorers to the La 91直播 Fund.
Alumni Association Challenge
La 91直播鈥檚 Alumni Association will unlock a $15,000 gift if the La 91直播 Fund achieves 150 new donors on Day of Giving.

Honors Program Scholarship Initiative Challenge
Just this month, the Honors Program Scholarship Initiative hit the $1 million mark toward its goal of raising $3 million by 2023. If 75 donors contribute to the initiative on Day of Giving, the Alumni Association will make a $10,000 gift toward the effort.
Berran Athletic Challenge
Larry Berran, 鈥93, will match up to $50,000 in gifts from alumni and supporters of the men鈥檚 basketball ($30,000), women鈥檚 basketball ($5,000), and for Rowing equipment for men鈥檚 rowing ($5,000), and women鈥檚 rowing ($5,000) programs, as well as gifts toward the Athletic Director鈥檚 Strategic Initiative Fund ($5,000).
Track and Field Challenge
Alumni and supporters of the track and field program can make a difference. Gifts will support the program鈥檚 ability to recruit, enter elite competitions, and more. This Day of Giving campaign is inspired by the passion and philanthropy of seven alumni鈥擝rian, 鈥97, Psy.D., and Megan, 鈥99 Gallagher, Joe DiGiacomo,鈥99, Theresa Trainer, 鈥97, Rachel Delavan, 鈥98, P.J. Gallagher, 鈥00, and Kevin Myles, 鈥00. This group has pledged more than $6,000 to encourage generosity among fellow alumni.
