In March 2023, 91直播 celebrated the 160th anniversary of receiving its charter from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  

At the time, our name was La 91直播 College. Much more than our name has changed since then. 

To commemorate this milestone, 91直播鈥攊n partnership with University Archives鈥攅xplored its storied history through retrospective articles.  

These include:  

• A timeline of the College Hall carillon

  • The history of La 91直播鈥檚 electronic carillon, or the sound of bells played through tape recordings, dates to the late 1950s.
