Students and faculty from 91Ö±²„’s Nursing Program were awarded DAISY Awards, recognizing and celebrating them as extraordinary nurses.

The Learn to Swim Pilot Program at 91Ö±²„ gave second graders from Logan Elementary School the chance to learn swimming and water safety from Explorer student-athletes.

Despite taking one class in Asian studies at 91Ö±²„, Nadia Schapire, ā€˜27, presented her research on the topic at 17th Annual Greater Philadelphia Asian Studies Consortium Undergraduate Research Conference.

LetiziaĀ Baldessari, ’26, M.S. ’27,Ā wantsĀ to work with pregnant and nursing mothers as a lactation consultant.Ā She’sĀ preparing for her futureĀ inĀ 91Ö±²„’sĀ five-year NutritionĀ Program.

The event, taking place on April 8 at 5 p.m., will featureĀ studentĀ artĀ inspiredĀ byĀ public health issues. The evening will include aĀ panel discussion with professionals from both the art and public health fields.Ā 

Students from 91Ö±²„ had the opportunity toĀ attendĀ The Well: Young Adult ConferenceĀ hosted by The Office for Ministry with Young AdultsĀ (OMYA)Ā andĀ found renewed closeness to their faith.

La 91Ö±²„ junior Kenny Lynch, ’27, found deeper purpose and personal connection during a 12-day International Association of La 91Ö±²„ Universities (IALU) Student Leadership program to the Philippines.  

Through a summer internship sponsored by the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, nursing major Dang Nguyen, ā€˜26, worked as a public health and primary care nurse with Philadelphia’s vulnerable populations.Ā Ā 

Delaney Cortes, ā€˜26, was awarded a $15,000 scholarship by the Public company Accounting Oversight Board for the 2025-26 academic year.Ā Ā
